Chicken Rezala is also one of the many delicacies of Mughlai cuisine. Cooked in a yoghurt based gravy, this dish has a sweet and tangy taste and the richness of the yoghurt makes for a soft chicken.

It needs to be marinated first and as we know, the longer the marination, the deeper the flavour! It is made using simple kitchen ingredients and you can prepare this for your next meal! To begin, follow this step by step recipe below!

    Step 1

    Marinate the chicken Start by washing the chicken through with fresh water and pat it dry. Keep it in a bowl and add ginger garlic paste, along with cashew and poppy seeds powder to the bowl. Whisk the yoghurt, pour it in and add the red chilli powder, pepper, salt, nutmeg powder and massage all of this into the chicken. Keep in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

    Step 2

    Prepare the curry Now, add some oil to a pan and add the whole spices to it. Roast them until it becomes fragrant. Now add the chicken and let it cook in the oil for 3-4 minutes on all sides. Add the remaining marinade over it and cook for 2 more minutes.

    Step 3

    Simmer and serve! At this point, add some of the cashew and poppy seeds powder along with 1 cup of water. Let it cook for 10 minutes on low flame and serve!
